16) Get out into nature regularly and enjoy the fresh air and silence.
17) Eat nourishing food that makes you feel good.
18) Drink lots of water.
19) Have a social circle and one trusted friend that you can share your deepest thoughts with.
20) Think people who hug trees are a bit weird, but you’re totally okay with them.

It’s not hard to see which is which.

If most of your experience is the second list, you’re actually doing okay. Life isn’t so black and white though. You could hate your job but have fulfilling relationships with your friends. But if you’re experiencing most of the first list, it’s likely you’re not feeling that great about life.

You have the power to change it. This does not appear to be obvious to people. But you can make decisions today that will lead to a life of meaning and abundance instead of being draining.

Everyone’s measure of success is different, so don’t play “keeping up with the Jones’s” here. What you see on social media isn’t real. Those polished, staged photos certainly don’t reflect the reality of life. You decide what is important to you.

Just remember it’s how you generally feel that determines the quality of your life. Tap into that.

You can be a middle-class paper pusher, living regular ol’ life and still feel like royalty. You can be rolling in the money and commanding boardrooms and still feel like a loser. Your mindset, self-worth and self-respect determine your success. You decide when you are successful.

So answer right now – are you successful? Yes or no?

If the answer is yes! I celebrate you. Share your gifts with the world, they need you.

If the answer is no, what would it take for you to feel success at life? Start making that list and work towards it.

There’s that saying about “as you live your day, so you live your life”. It is so fundamentally true. If you don’t change those daily habits and routines, you will wake up one day realizing 30 years have gone passed and you haven’t achieved much. But it’s not too late. You can turn your life around at any time.

Here are some things you could try. Do just one until it becomes habit, then start the next one. It’s these small daily adjustments that change the course of your life overall.

1) Add something green to everything you eat.
2) Drink more water.
3) Go to bed the same time every night and tell yourself to sleep well.
4) Move your body more every day.
5) Listen to the way you speak to yourself and be kinder to yourself.
6) Make it a point to laugh every day – even do a fake laugh out loud if you have to.
7) Switch off the news with immediate effect.
8) Watch things that make you feel good, smile and broaden your skills.
9) Have a mantra that you can easily repeat. Mine is “the Universe has got my back”.
10) Say thank you every single day.

You can change your stars. You can choose to thrive.

You deserve it. You are worth it. So do it.
